Wow! I still can’t believe that this series is still going and it’s so full of life, meeting new people, and that so many great streamers have answered my call to do this with me. I am so blessed to know so many great men and women who are streaming on twitch, and meeting new ones is even better.
- What is your Twitch name? Name’s ThePalvikinkku. Trivia: name means “Smoked Ham” in Finnish
- Is there a special reason you chose that name? As I remember it, it came from the old Microsoft Messenger days. My sis changed my name to “Palvikinkku” randomly back in a day. I liked it so much that it stuck. Since then, been Palvikinkku.
- Why did you become a Twitch Streamer? To have something to do while being unemployed. Essentially, something to keep me busy or something to aim at.
- Why did you choose to stream for Twitch? It’s the most popular one. Never did really any research on what else to pick or choose, so it was an automatic choice.
- How long have you been a streamer? 2nd month streaming now. When I do become employed, I aim to keep streaming nevertheless.
- Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job? Currently, I am unemployed. Been correcting it lately, albeit slowly. Will tell when it changes! (So, I currently only stream)
- What are your favorite games to play? Genres? Probably single player RPGs. Favourite game of all time? Fallout New Vegas. Otherwise I am really omnivorous since I play almost anything. Dota 2, Fallout, XCOM, Rayman Origins… you name it.
- What are your favorite games to stream? Currently Overwatch, but season 5 combined with meta has burned me a bit, so I think I’ll branch out a bit for now. See where I’ll go and what’ll be my destination. The most difficult question is though, what will be my next competitive game if it’s now Overwatch?
- Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why? Jesus, what could I recommend? Fallout series, especially older ones and New Vegas? As Obsidian fanboy, Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny? There’s simply too many. But I narrow on one classic and one pleasant surprise. A classic: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (game what introduced me to ‘roguelike’ genre). A pleasant surprise: Renowed Explorers: International Society (a good mix of roguelike, turn based strategy and choose-your-own-adventure; more humorous than serious, this one!).
- Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming? I’d like to say it’s always been easy to talk, but the content what you’re spouting from your mouth is harder. It gets better I guess, but I am still so green that I can’t say for sure yet how long will it be ’till I find my real tune (half-truth-half-lie; I kinda have an idea what kind of person I present, but I could hone it a bit further). Essentially: you should always strive for an improvement.
- Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch? As this is written, my channel is still half-baked, but welcome along to a ride with Ham. I’ll treat you with sexy voice, perfect storytelling and enjoyable show, with a hint of salt put into it!
He may still be new to the whole streaming thing, but he does it pretty well and I enjoy going into his stream and chatting with him. So I say go over and give this guy a follow and chat with him as he streams. His channel is twitch.tv/thepalvikinkku.
