I really hope that you have found new games to enjoy through these blogs. I have been seeing a few that I have never heard of myself because I am not much of a gamer but a watcher. It is always fascinating to do some research and see what games the streamers are playing or have recommended throughout this series.
- What is your Twitch name? TheStytch
- Is there a special reason you chose that name? Stytch has been a nickname of mine since I was 16. That started back in the day when DDR was still cool and many people had nicknames. Many people grow out of nicknames but mine just stuck and I’m ok with that. I work in an office and everyone there has no problem calling me Stytch.
- Why did you become a Twitch Streamer? I became a streamer because I played video games all the time anyway, why not do it and make some friends? I played a ton of MMOs because I would get bored playing with no one to talk to. When I’m streaming there’s always SOMEONE to talk to.
- Why did you choose to stream for Twitch? I began streaming on Twitch because, in all honesty, it was the only streaming site I’d ever heard of. I know others exist now, but I really like the Twitch community overall.
- How long have you been a streamer? I’ve been streaming since 2014.
- Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job? Streaming full-time would be amazing but unfortunately I’m not that popular…. yet. As for my job, all I am allowed to say is that I do customer service for a company called 24-7 Intouch.
- What are your favorite games to stream? I have to say WoW is one of my favorites when I am raiding. Definitely not the best in terms of getting viewers since there are a ton of people playing it, but I love the team work that goes into a new fight. I actually enjoy wiping over and over on a boss, because when you get it down and everyone comes together for that perfect pull… damn that’s satisfying. But overall I’m an accidental Blizzard fanboy. I like pretty much all of their games except Hearth Stone and Starcraft. Not that I dislike them, I’m just not super into them.
- Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why? First off, a super not so well-known driving game that is amazing and has some great music. This game was suggested to me by my friend Skullstream (a very cool streamer that everyone should check out) It’s called Distance. I can’t even describe it. Just check it out. It starts off stub easy and get more and more crazy with each track. One of the most fun games I’ve streamed in a long time and it has a track editor with a pretty big community. MOBAs: Heroes of the storm because it’s easy to pick up, really fun to play with friends and it’s free to play. Rogue Like Games: Dead Cell and Rogue Legacy because they are less punishing then some and some of the few games I can die in and do stuff over and over and not get pissed lol. Micromanagement Survival Sims: Banished for more of a realistic experience, much more punishing when it comes to nature’s wrath and nice graphics. Kingdoms and Castles for a more cartoony feel. It’s just a relaxed survival game but you will get attacked by the occasional Viking and Lego/MegaBlock looking dragon. I could go on and on about games. Come in and ask me about my favorite picks for a specific genre haha.
- Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming? I’ve actually always worked in customer service, so talking to people has never really been a problem for me. I am the type of person to have a conversation with anyone sitting next to me on an airplane (if they want to talk). Whether you’re 16 or 60, some people have some awesome stuff to saw. I have to say that most of the people who do come into my streams are usually there to have a good time and share some of their knowledge, which is awesome.
- Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch? I’m a guy that likes a lot of different things such as collecting old video game consoles. I believe I’m up to 51 I think now, not including duplicates. I love retro stuff from the 80s/90s of all kinds, games, cartoons, toys and more. I’ve been to Japan twice, Tokyo to be exact. I’ve climbed to the top of Mount Fuji. I know very little Japanese but have studied off and on for years but still 日本語がとてもすこしわかりません。 I love the 90s tuner car scene but I don’t know a ton about cars in general, just like the style. I don’t wanna give too much away though. Come in and ask me about stuff, it’ll give me something to ramble about lol. As for the stream. I stream what ever I feel like playing at the time so you will probably see a lot of different things streamed through out the year. I love when people coming in and telling me about a fun game they’ve played. I have definitely gotten a few games because people suggested to me and they sounded amazing. So come in and ask me some stuff and tell me about all the things. I’ll appreciate the company.
