Twitch Streamer Series- Part 34

Hobby or your life goal to be a hard-core gamer, if you need help deciding, why not ask the streamers that have been a part of this series? I know that I keep repeating myself but these guys and gals know where it’s at when playing games online. They can help you get started on Twitch.

What is your Twitch name? DoABarrelRoll89
Is there a special reason you chose that name? I chose the name because one of my favorite games as a kid was StarFox64 for the Nintendo 64. These days I just go by Barrel, short for DoABarrelRoll.
Why did you become a Twitch Streamer? I became a streamer on Twitch because it was a good stress reliever.
Why did you choose to stream for Twitch? Out of all the streaming services out there, I felt as if the Twitch base was a better community.
How long have you been a streamer? I started streaming on March 6th, 2015.
Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job? I stream when I can but not a full-time streamer. My current job is retail. It’s honestly not very fun. Someday I do hope to become a full-time streamer and bring entertainment to my viewers.
What are your favorite games to play? I will play just about anything. I have a passion for a lot of Nintendo games. I love the Resident Evil series except Resident Evil 6 (We can pretend that game doesn’t exist )
What are your favorite games to stream? In all honesty, I will stream just about anything that I’m in the mood for.
Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why? Even if you are just starting out on video games I would personally recommend Super Mario Brothers for the Nintendo Entertainment System. That is basically the best game I can think of for people just trying to get into video games. It’s short, sweet, and to the point.If you are a survival horror fan, Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 would be a good choice as well. I’m not counting Resident Evil 4 just for the fact it really wasn’t much of a horror game. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo is a GOOD one as well. The music is spot on in my book, you can jam out while enjoying the game . Last but not least would be StarFox 64 for the Nintendo 64. The game is a rail shooter but it has its moments where it breaks off the rails having you fly around shooting bosses. The music is good as well. What can I say I do enjoy some good music in my video games .
Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming? There are a lot of streamers who are afraid to use a mic and communicate with the chat. It can be overwhelming especially if shy. Once you get the hang of it, you will overcome the fear of speaking to the chat. It took me about 3 months to overcome that fear. I can still be somewhat shy about it.
Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch? Ha of course. I’m a goof ball, I will say the most random things on my channel. Usually it’s a swing and a miss to the viewers but in all fun it’s a good time.
