This next streamer I am going to introduce you to is a part of a group of four. The group is amazing and I am actually going to be posting more FanFiction stories that I had written for them for their 1-year anniversary on Twitch. I won first place for one of my stories for the FanFiction, and I am so proud of myself. And so grateful for this group not for just picking my story but for every single one for them who I consider a friend. This streamer is amazing, down to earth, welcoming, totally sweet, and does jokes when you use your points in chat. It is amazing to watch her husband cringe whenever we ask for jokes in the stream. And I have a lot of fun just chatting or even lurking when it is just Sarah streaming. So without further ado, here is the next streamer in the series.
- What is your Twitch name?
My Twitch name is Paladin_Sarah.
2. Is there a special reason you chose that name?
I loved my old username of Mrs.PioneerWoman but the idea of Paladin Pioneer Woman seemed too long. I feel that when my real name is displayed, there is more of a real life connection between me and the community.
3. Why did you become a Twitch streamer?
People who know Eric and I know that I will always become a part of his passion projects. I love to help and act as support staff, so it only seemed natural that I spend some time on camera with everyone that comes to the streams. I had gotten to know a lot of the community through being a Mod, and there were some games that I wanted to give a whirl while hanging out with them.
4. Why did you choose to stream on Twitch and not another platform?
R.I.P. Mixer… Haha, after we got the unfortunate news that they would be shutting down, the team did research and decided that the best option for the channel would be making the move to Twitch. It’s been a nice home for us ever since, the viewers there have been very good to us.
5. How long have you been a streamer?
I started streaming with the team in the summer of 2020.
6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?
I am currently a homemaker and am blessed to have the pleasure of caring for our home. I am an organizer and like to clean by nature, so doing the behind-the-scenes type tasks to keep the household running and a comfortable place is a joy.
7. What are your favorite games to play?
I really enjoy Overcooked 2, even though I know that game gets a lot of people frustrated with each other as the intensity of the game increases. I am task oriented and love checklists, so that kind of format really satisfies me. If we are taking nostalgia, for sure the Mario Party games and the Just Dance games for Wii. I grew up in a mostly Nintendo household, and I loved the dance games and music games.
8. What are your favorite games to stream? Do you only stream games or do you stream anything else?
My most streamed game as of late is Among Us. I enjoy it for a few hours at a time and it is a game to play with people you know. I personally only stream games. I like to have chill conversations with a fun or easy going game as the backdrop.
9. Do you have any games you would recommend my readers to play, and why?
If your readers are into horror at all, the Amnesia games are always a hit with me. I also like to enjoy the Alan Wake and Bioshock games on a cool or cloudy day for the extra spooky vibes. I personally enjoy the occasional spooky or scary game because the mini adrenaline rush is fun for me. Something about your brain thinking it needs to send your body into defense mode while knowing that in reality you are not in danger in any way just does it for me every now and then. It is always more fun with a friend too.
10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?
Yes, it was hard to know how to talk to people and act in front of the camera at first. I still find that I get pre-stream nerves because I am not a solo performer by nature. But getting to know people more has definitely helped me to feel more natural in the spotlight. Though I would say the biggest help I have had in getting used to streaming has been watching Eric, Kyle, and Adam do it. Having an example to imitate has helped me to discover my own style and find my place on the channel.
11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or about your Twitch channel?
I would like to share that the Paladins Gaming Team welcomes any and all to our community. We love to play games with followers when we can, and you will always be greeted with a friendly hello on our channel.
12. What are the links for your Twitch channel and any other channel you would love my reader to know or follow?
The link to our Twitch channel is twitch.tv/paladinsgamingteam.
Like I said, she and the others are a lot of fun to hang with whenever they can stream. And it is so much fun chatting with Sarah when she is doing games with those in chat. I really recommend coming to see Sarah stream and just have a fun laid back kind of day, chatting, laughing, and enjoying a very welcoming community. I hope to see you in her stream one day soon.
