Completely Missed the Mark
My oldest daughter received the kit to make your own lip gloss made by Cra-Z-Art from her grandparents. She was super excited about making her own lip gloss and I was curious about how it would be made. A few days ago, we finally had the chance to do it. I opened the box, liking that the lip gloss is bright and vibrant on the box.
I pulled out everything from the box, just to find that the drops you put in the lip gloss to make the colors have spilled. Green was everywhere inside the bag! I had to wipe the others off and when I looked inside, I just shook my head in disappointment. There was barely anything in any of the bottles they sent in the pack.
How are they going to advertise bright, beautiful rainbow colors when they barely give you any color to add to the lip gloss base? Especially when they give you a giant container of the base and tell you to use all of it in the 6 containers provided to stir in the colors. You can’t! My daughter got maybe one or one and a half drops of the colors into her containers. And when she stirred them up, they were light like pale light. Almost to where the color doesn’t even show up. Ridiculous!
It’s definitely false advertisement and a waste of money. She made the lip gloss and they look pretty. But they are nowhere near as vibrant as on the box. I definitely will steer clear from this company. And I will tell her grandparents to do the same. Not worth it at all.
Very disappointed in this product. I give it 0/5.
How disappointing! Cra-Z-Art does make a few products that look interesting, but I avoid buying any of them too due to known lack of quality. There are some interesting diy lip gloss recipes online like this one you could try: https://www.papernstitchblog.com/10-minute-diy-to-try-2-ingredient-lip-gloss-pots-for-mom/
Thanks, Sarah. I’ll have to check it out and hopefully make better lip gloss.
