Wounded Warrior Program- Kristen – Writers, Ink
Warning:
I opened up a lot during this session and I am going to be very real with you, my readers, as well. This and another one are full of raw emotions.
Writing Warm up
I write because…
I write because it was an escape from the bullying I endured as a child. I was bullied from Kindergarten through High School.
Now I write because I want to share my books with the world along with my two daughters. I work hard on my books to show them that hard work pays off.
I want them to see me reach my goals of being a published author. I want them to see that they can achieve their own dreams and be whatever they want to be in life with hard work, never giving up, and with a wonderful support team.
I don’t want them to think that even though at times they may fail that they should just give up.
I almost did with my writing but my husband, my girls, my family, and my friends push me to keep going. And I want them to know we will support them with whatever they do in their lives.
And I write to beat my learning disabilities, Auditory and Visual Processing Deficit. I am not my disabilities and they do not win when I am living my life or when I am writing.
