October 3- Pumpkin Carvings

A row of orange pumpkins sat on a table. Four people walked into the room and sat in front of the pumpkins. They eyed each pumpkin as they thought about the faces they wanted to carve into each surface. Knives lifted off the table and sliced into the surface of their first pumpkin. They each had three pumpkins to carve for the front of their house for Halloween.

Eerie music filled the air as they worked. Pumpkin guts fell into clumps on the table, along with other carved chunks. They worked in silence, their first pumpkins finished. Each person carried their pumpkin to a different table. They walked back to the table and sat back down.

Pulling the second pumpkins close, they reached for their knives, but the knives were missing. They hunt for the knives but they’re nowhere to be found. They lifted their eyes and scream when they come face to face with the first pumpkins they had carved. Knives went up in the air, then came down. Pumpkin guts and human guts mingle on the table, along with other carved chunks.
