Book Review
I just finished this book yesterday and I have to say that it did take me a month to read it but it was the best month ever. I had to steal away time to read and I am glad that I did. This book was NOT what I expected at all. From page 1, I was expecting just the usual vampire love story. You know the one, she’s a human, he’s a vampire, blah blah blah. Yes, like Twilight.
And I have to say that books like Twilight turned me away from wanting to read vampire books but I am so glad that I gave this one a chance. It didn’t disappoint me and I am so glad that it didn’t. The way the author introduces the main character, you will think that it will be a nice paranormal vampire story.
But then things start to happen and you are on a roller coaster. Apparently the main character isn’t even human and is actually some legendary being who is not just full one type of creature but is full blooded of TWO creatures, one of the night and one of the day. And she has to fight for her life as well as those from both creatures that she is. There is someone who wants her dead, others love her, and still others who want to take over as the leader. Can she save everyone when she is just thrust into a world she didn’t know existed?
This is just the first book of four and I am looking forward to reading the second book, which I already have purchased. I want to dive deeper into the world that the author, B. Kristin McMichael, has created with bringing all of the night creatures and day creatures together in one glorious series.
I will post links below for each book so you can grab yourself the series and dive into reading it. But so you know, this is my opinion. I LOVED the book. And you might buy it, read it, and either love it or hate it or it is just eh. But I always say, give it a shot. You could be pleasantly surprised by the book. So I say, enjoy! If you did not, I am sorry.
