Writing Exercise
Choose an animal, any you like, but make sure you can watch it. You can watch it in real life or online. Write all you can about the animal and then turn them into a character.
My Animal
White Tiger- big paws, big head, walks slow. They love to swim. Instead of the traditional orange and black, they are white and black. They are also inbred, and that is why their colors are white and black.
My Writing
Tor sat in his massive home as humans walked past. Some would stop and take his picture, while others hurried on by seeing if they could catch a glimpse of the baby cheetah at the big cat nursery. Tor stood up and slowly walked over to his favorite part of his home in the zoo, the pool. The sun glistened off his white and black fur with each step he took.
He slapped the water with his massive paw before he dove in. His powerful legs hurtled him down to the bottom of the pool. He planted his front paws against the bottom, then his back, and pushed himself back to the surface. His big head bobbed on the surface as he looked to see more humans had stopped to watch him. Tor dove back under the water and did a few flips and spirals in the water before he climbed out of the pool.
He laid down close to the glass to dry off in the sun, closing his large blue eyes, and listened to the people snapping his picture. After he was dry, he stood and stretched, posing for more pictures. He grabbed one of his balls and tossed it around for fun. Tor looked at the humans and sat in front of the glass, yawning.
Take that baby cheetah!

Beautiful cat. I didn’t know that they were inbred. Good information.
I didn’t know either until I did more research about them a while ago. I love white tigers so of course I did reports on them when I was in school still. And that bit of information stuck out the most and I remembered it.
