Think about the pet or pets you have owned. Create a character around one or all if you’d like. Describe that new character and give them a backstory.
I have had hamsters, guinea pigs, and dogs while growing up. When I moved out of my parents house to be with my husband, we had more pets. I have had cats with my husband in the past. Now we have 2 cats, a service dog for my husband, chickens, guinea fowls (keets for now since they are babies), and ducks.
I love and have loved all my pets but I will pick just one of my pets for this exercise. I choose my very first cat, Sasha, a beautiful tortishell cat that we had adopted while stationed on Oahu. She was a gift to me from my husband for my 24th birthday. I could never have cats because my dad is allergic to their dander. But now I can have cats.
Sasha stands 5’5″, has sparkling yellow green eyes, has long dark brown mixed with light brown and blonde highlights. Her skin is a soft tan and she is 21 years old. Sasha is sweet but protective of others. She is a tomboy and will only get dressed up for special occasions. She goes to college and is studying to be a Marine Biologist. She is friendly, smart, funny, a great student, always willing to help others, and is fearless. She is one of the good girls to have on your side as a friend.
Sasha moves to Hawai’i to live with her grandparents after her parents were killed in a plane crash. Her parents had been on their way to a business conference. Sasha has no siblings or pets. Sasha has been living on the island of Oahu since she was 8 years old. She has always loved the creatures of the ocean since she was a kid so she picked marine biology while she was in high school as a hobby. Now in college, she has committed herself to becoming a Marine Biologist. She also loves drawing so she sells her art work to help pay for her college tuition. She also helps her grandparents take care of their shop where they sell her art and other local artists work along with fun tourist like items.
