Chapter 5- Part 2
Rachel looks at him strangely then looks down at the bag. “Oh, yeh, that,” she is says as she pushes the scales back into the bag. This time she makes sure it stays zipped.
“You’re the scale killer?” Ronny covers his mouth suddenly feeling sick.
Rachel scoops up the wig and places it on her head. “No, Ingrid is the scale killer,” she says in the fake accent. She laughs and tosses the wig on top of the bag. “Tonight, Ingrid goes back home after one last murder. Or well murders since I have four planned.”
Ronny turns to run but the sounds of muffled screams reach his ears. He follows the sounds around the wall to see four students tied up. Ricky Johnson, the football player who has asked Rachel out on a date as a dare. Kenny Charles, Rachel’s first boyfriend who had leaked a video of him and her doing it for their first time. Chasity Greene, a bully of ours since kindergarten. Bard Lee, Ronny’s first girlfriend who dated him for a month and then humiliated him in front of the schools.
“I grabbed Barb for you,” Rachel says as she walks up behind him. She’s putting on glove and hands him a pair.
Ronny takes the gloves and stares down at them. He jumps when Rachel places something over his head to keep his hair from falling on the murder scene. He watches his best friend become Ingrid again then grabs something form the bag. She uses a lint roller on her clothes and his to remove any loose hair or anything that could point back at them for the murders.
Rachel pulls out four scales she had stolen. She couldn’t buy that many without it being suspicious now. She lays them in front of each victim then looks at Ronny.
Ronny can’t take his eyes off Barb. Barb is crying and begging for him to help her. Ronny takes a few steps closer, not sure what to do. His foot hits the scale and it breaks his trance. He looks down at it and the gloves still in his hands. Rachel takes the tape off Barb’s mouth.
“Ronny, please, Ronny help me,” Barb says, practically yelling at him. “Don’t let her kill me.”
Ronny looks at her. “Like you helped me by humiliating me in front of the whole school?”
Barb’s jaw drops. “Ronny, I am so sorry for that. I know I shouldn’t have done that, but Delilah told me I should have done it. So, I did.”
Ronny slips the gloves on, grabs the scale, and slams it across her face. “Stop lying, Barb.”
Rachel screams in delight and rips the tape off the other student’s faces. Rachel and Ronny took turns smashing the four scales over the bullies’ heads until they took their last breath. Ronny laughs, breathing hard when they were done. It feels great. He looks at Rachel who just nods at him. They clean up everything, leaving only the scales behind, and leaves the bodies on the roof.
