Issues
I am back to blogging now that we asked for help to get my blogging page moved to a new hosting website since Site Ground was getting too expensive. At first, it wasn’t working so we found a great helper on Fiverr, and it looks like everything is up and running again.
Now my husband Ryan, who is such a big help, and I have the reins again and can get this blogging website back up and running.
Big News
I have some big news to update you all with. I have a new book that is edited, has a cover, and just needs to be formatted, then I will be able to self-publish the book. The book is titled Backlash. It’s a horror paranormal book where a man, Larson Pagan, has to do the unthinkable, and help the world before it’s too late. It is an apocalyptic horror that is like no other. The world is coming to an end unless Larson and his friends from Underground and other paranormal groups from around the world can stop it. And as you might have guessed, they aren’t fighting zombies.
I can’t wait to publish this book and make it my first self-published book after the fiasco with my ex-publisher. I will be republishing my two books, Pahulu Hale and Roodie to the Rescue, but I wanted Backlash to be the first to pave the way into my new journey as an Indie Author.
And now that I have told you this big news….
Bigger News
I have bigger news. Since April, I have my own publishing company called Rocky Road Publishing LLC that is mine alone. Ryan will be helping me run my new business while I write the books, self-edit, hire an editor, hire a cover designer, format through Atticus, and self-publish them after everything is ready.
It’s going to be a lot of work, but in order to make my dreams happen again where I am a published author, I am willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. And with my husband by my side, I know I will be able to get my books out there for the world to read.
I will also be able to publish our two daughters, Kierra and Cara’s books as well. Cara already has three written and Kierra has one and working on more. Though Kierra is looking forward to starting her new journey in art and one day will transition into being my illustrator for children’s books. Then possibly she can create my book covers for other genres as she studies in school. Cara still wants to be an author like me.
I am so proud of our daughters and the journeys they want to go on at such a young age. They might change their minds and that is totally fine, but for now they will be authors and eventually Kierra will put on the hat of illustrator.
I am so thankful for Ryan’s help and patience as we navigate this new journey. He is so loving and supportive. I couldn’t ask for a better partner and I am so glad that we get to share a new business together, even if it is just a publishing company.
