Author Review
Marketing can be a very daunting task, but is a great key for those who self-publish their books. It can get their amazing books to thousands of readers. I want to help those authors get their books out there and am so glad to have met M. T. Hart on Twitter as I asked to help others. His books sound amazing and the way he answered this interview put a smile on my face and I can feel how devoted he is to his books. I know that he will be as devoted to his readers as he is to his books, bringing great pleasure with each new book he publishes.
1. What sparked your interest in writing?
I have written since I was a kid. I just have an active imagination. I can walk by an empty lot or scary alley and I stop to explore, the many ideas for stories just come to me.
2. Has anyone in your life inspired you to write?
No, not really, which is probably why I got started so late in life.
3. When did you decide to publish?
Years and years ago. This may help…
Even though this is new to the world, this book has a long history. I first wrote of Lydia years ago. Back when most things were hand written. And then of course typewriters with correction tape became popular. I was very excited when I got my first typewriter with correction capabilities! I was quickly picked up by a publisher, they unfortunately went bankrupt and Lydia never saw the light of day.
Years later I tried an agent and after a couple years with no movement I fired them and again, no light of day. Finally, I tried a large publication on demand firm. And although I do have fans from this endeavor, I really feel like publish on demand is a bit of a farce. They did not help with Lydia’s coming out, and all the promotion was left to me. I figure, if that is the case, I will self publish. So here she is! Big as life! Welcome to her world.
4. Are you an Indie Author or Traditional Author? Why did you choose the path you did?
Indie and basically because I am impatient. I want to publish and move on. I really don’t like the traditional publishing game. And when you realize that, although not all of the time, it is who you know, not your works that get you noticed, it gets old very quickly.
5. What is your first published book?
“Mortal.”
6. Are you happy with how your books are coming out? Would you change anything?
I think we all look at our books and want to change things lol. But I am satisfied.
7. Will you continue to publish books for many years to come?
Yes, book 5 is coming out in March:
“They say she her name is Maria, and she is still searching for her one true love, that he left her and he never returned.”
A red tear came from Xavier’s eye. He turned and wiped it away before Felipe could see it.
“Her name was Andrea, not Maria.”
“What?”
“Felipe, I have come a long way. Believe it or not, there is some truth to the ghost story you have just told me. But it happened long ago. Let us walk, if only for a while, so I can see the old girl one more time. And in exchange I will tell you a story.”
“Casino Agua Caliente” is the fifth novel coming from author MT Hart in 2021!
#publishers #agents my 5th novel entitled “Casino Agua Caliente” will be available soon. There is a story of a brokenhearted ghostly woman who haunts the remains of the once luxurious Casino Agua Caliente and the vampire who longs for her. It is rich in Mexican heritage and mixes fiction with the actual once famous casino! Based on a true story! Please contact me if interested.
8. What genres inspire you to write?
Horror and erotica. It’s in my blood for some reason.
9. What is your favorite genre to write? What is your least favorite genre to write?
Same as above.
10. What challenges have you faced publishing?
Promoting, I really hate it. It’s just repetition trying to get notice, a real crap shoot sometimes.
11. What challenges have you faced in writing?
Staying motivated when the big checks don’t come…
12. Where do your ideas for your books come from? Where do you keep those ideas?
I write and take notes constantly, but I can see a person walking down the street and they become a character in my book.
13. Are you also a bookworm and does reading other works help inspire your own writing?
No. I was once, but not anymore. How can I read when there are so many crazy ideas in my head?
14. Do you have a website where we can follow you?
https://mthart1.wixsite.com/mthart
15. What is the link for your books so others may look and possibly purchase them from?

I met M.T. Hart on Twitter and so glad that I did because after reading all of this I definitely will add his books to my to read bookshelf. His answers were so amazing and I have to agree with his answer for 13. It is hard to be a bookworm sometimes when you have these stories bursting at the seams, wanting to be set free. M. T. Hart keep letting those stories flow freely through your hands and allow them to come into the world. I hope that you all take the time to check out his books and his website. I really do with you, M. T. Hart, the best of luck in your adventures as an author, and I hope that an agent and a publisher snatches you up as one of their clients. I hope big things for your books now and in the future.
